Runescape Signatures

I've been noticing more and more people using Runescape dynamic signatures in their achievement topics on various forums.

I'll attach a picture so you can see what I mean.

Is this a good thing? Perhaps it is good that people are becoming more visual thesedays with their Runescape goals. The skill stats after all matter on the Runescape highscores and competition.

Smelly Elf

My friend Jeremy is a very smelly elf that plays Runescape all the time. I have to ask him what makes him play so much.

GameRection better than FunOrb

A great online casual gaming site is Funorb, but it is just that: "great". What is greater is of GameRection . It takes you and throws you into a world of goo and addicting games.

Mohammed Shah Poor

I just saw a video about this guy named Mohammed Shah Poor and read a news story about him. Apparently he thought he was smart enough to cheat a UAE prince over a business deal to do with wheat and get away with it. Well, Mr. Mohammed Shah Poor was very stupid to think that because he got sand shoved into his mouth, got beaten up, and then had an SUV driven over him.

So, what's the moral of the story? Don't cheat Sheikh Issa bin Zayed Al Nahyan... because he will come to you in his SUV and bring the police chief, a friend, and a friend with a camera phone, and they'll totally whip your ass.

Civony on an advertizing spree

The game "Civony" has been advertizing all over the Internet for the past month or so.

Where does Civony get all that money to advertize from if it is a free game?  I have the answer. They are funded by UMGE, You can read more about them below.

Anyways, continuing on with this Civony review...  Civony looks like a cross between Tribal Wars and Age of Empires. More towards the Tribal Wars side for the gameplay and more towards the Age of Empires side for the graphics.

Have they done a good job? Hell yeah! The game looks good and it looks playable. Is it good as Ikariam though? I doubt it.

About The UMGE Group

UMGE stands for Universal Multiplayer Game Entertainment. A search through Google Finance with the keywords, "china multiplayer -korea," shows that the publicly listed China-based MMOG companies alone account for 7.3 billion USD of market capitalization. China is indisputably the world's most thriving multiplayer game market. Thanks to the demanding gamers' ultrafast feedback cycle, China has been the perfect greenhouse to nurture innovative game developers, which in turn breeds revolutionary design and gameplay.

Founded by an elite group of avid mainland China game developers, UMGE grows organically through developing engaging, albeit relatively low budget, web-based browser MMOG games: Civony and Leuric.

Civony is multiplayer role playing browser game, whose background is set in medieval Europe. Players develop their own cities by training troops, researching technologies, consolidating fortification systems, and so on. Players climb up the nobility ladder by storming the continent. There are eight human forces: Worker, Warrior, Scout, Pikeman, Swordsman, Cavalry and Cataphract; and four machinery forces: Transporter, Ballista, Battering Ram and Catapult. Besides, the technologies family adds additional tweaks to the gameplay. They are all critical to winning. More than five thousand words of well-researched history of the fortifications and the progress of technology put the gameplay into context.

Leuric is a multiplayer role playing Flash browser game, in which members of the two factions, Viking and Atlantian fight against each other in the ultimate battle for supremacy. Players can choose to adventure the vast lands of Leuric or fight against other players in the battle arena. There are over 600 types of weapons and items to choose from, and they are all customizable to the character skills, making each character unique.

In addition, UMGE is investing substantially in developing Surge of Valor, a Window client-application-based MMOG. Surge of Valor takes a player into a world of fantasy to experience adventure and to fight monsters. There are four basic character classes: Warrior, Mage, Archer and Cleric join hands to defend Continent Aldema against the invasion of demons and evil forces. With new contents and features being introduced regularly, Surge of Valor is going to be an A-list MMORPG title.

My boyfriend is ugly that's why I don't have one

If your boyfriend is ugly and that's why you don't have one, then get a shirt that says it!

It's a classic example of a moronic juxtaposition pentameter, if you want to get literarily correct. This isn't anything to do with Runescape, but it's all for laughs.

StellarDawn can go the way of Mechscape

Perhaps Mechscape won't be the final name for the upcoming mmo from Jagex. It might be changed. The name that is. LOLIPHANT won't mind because after all, it is just a matter of time before Jagex changed the name to something new and exciting rather than old and boring. Half boring because the "scape" is old, and the "mech" is new. Perhaps Mechscape was just a code name and now we'll be introduced to StellarDawn as the latest newest name.

Armies of Gielinor is Retarded

Welcome to the Internet. I can have an opinion and you can't tell me not to! Freedom of speech, please.

Okay, I know Jagex thinks that their Armies of Gielinor is all cool and stuff. But I hate to break it to them: it sucks. Arcanists is much better as a game than this AoG crap.

StellarDawn Game Official Beta

We have no idea when Jagex will release the official StellarDawn game beta test publicly. But we do know this, that we are talking as if we are more than one people. There are 12 black inmates in my basement. So what is the game about? It's like Mechscape except it's a different name. Or, a different game. Name rhymes with game. StellerDawn happens to rhyme with "Sell her bomb".

There is only one Mechscape world and it happens to be here, right now, and has nothing to do with StellerDawn help. This game, Stellar-Dawn, is a MMO about planets and lava harvesting.

Soul Wars Runescape Guide

Soul Wars

Introduction: This Mini-Game is very similar to Castle Wars, each game lasts 20 minutes and can be played on any world, although the Runescape themed worlds for the Runescape Mini-Game are currently Worlds 44, 143, and 145. In Soul Wars, two teams compete against each other to gather Soul Fragments and offer them to the Runescape Soul Obelisk in order to defeat the Runescape opposing teams Avatar (Level 525). This requires a combination of combat and Slayer skills. This is a safe mini-game, so feel free to bring your best equipment!

Safety: This mini-game is safe, so you will not lose any equipment when you die. Please note you cannot take any non-combat items into the Runescape arena.

Start Point: Soul Wars arena is accessed through the Runescape yellow portal southwest of Edgeville Bank.

To Start: Talk to Nomad.

Portal

Getting Started:

Soul Wars is a team-based game. Before joining a team, it is strongly recommend that you speak to Nomad, who will teach you about the Runescape game. There is a bank chest just north of Nomad should you need to change out your equipment or bank items. You will be fighting other players with any combat style, so bring appropriate equipment.

Note: You are not allowed to have a cape equipped in-game. Therefore if you with to use Ava’s Attractor or accumulator, talk to Nomad and he will enchant the Runescape in-game team-cape. Once enchanted your team-cape will serve the Runescape purpose as Ava’s Attractor or Accumulator.

Nomad

To join a team, enter either the Runescape red or blue team's waiting room. If you do not know which team to select, you may enter the Runescape green balancing portal in the Runescape center and you will automatically join one of the Runescape two teams.

Waiting Room

Playing the Runescape Game:

Soul Wars requires team cooperation, operating with different roles, to succeed as a whole. To play the Runescape game you can work on lowering the Runescape level of the Runescape enemy Avatar, keeping your Avatar alive, or trying to capture key points. If one role is lacking, the Runescape entire team will suffer.

Soul Wars Map

Once a game has started, you will appear near your team's Avatar. In the Runescape area next to it, you can find an equipment area where you can stock up on the Runescape following items, which will aid you in the Runescape game.
Name Image Use
Bandage Bandage Heals 10% of your hitpoints, restores 30% of energy,
cures poison. These can also be used on other people.
Explosive potion Explosive potion Destroys barricades
Barricade Barricade Blocks a path.

Attacker:

To win the Runescape game you must kill your opponents Avatar. Whether you are able depends on your Slayer level. the Runescape Avatar's level, shown in the Runescape top right menu equals the Runescape minimum Slayer level required to harm the Runescape Avatar. If you attack the Runescape Avatar, be sure to have plenty of Prayer Points for Protect from Melee, as it is level 525! Prayer points can be replenished by burying bones at a controlled graveyard.

Collector:

To assist in killing the Runescape enemy Avatar, Pyrefiends (level 43) or Jellies (level 78) must be killed for the Runescape Soul Fragments. Once you have a significant amount of fragments, go to the Runescape Soul Obelisk (if it is under your teams control) and use them on it to lower the Runescape level of your opponent's Avatar. Then, you can attack to the Runescape Avatar or gather more fragments.

gathering

Guard:

To keep your Avatar alive, merely kill anyone attacking it. You can pick up the Runescape bones and go to a graveyard your team controls to bury them. the Runescape bones have a chance to restore the Runescape Slayer level needed to hurt your Avatar, effectively bringing its armor back up.

Avatar

Capturer:

There are 3 areas that, when captured, will assist your team. the Runescape Western Graveyard is just east of the Runescape Red (Destruction) Team, the Runescape Eastern Graveyard is just east of Blue (Creation) Team. Stay there long enough without enemy players around, and your team will eventually control the Runescape area. When a team controls a graveyard, players who die close to it will respawn at that point.

Graveyard

The Soul Obelisk, another capturing objective, has to be controlled in order to get the Runescape enemy team's Avatar slayer level requirement down, with the Runescape fragments mentioned above.

Obelisk

Strategies:

As Soul Wars requires all three of the Runescape above tasks, each equally important to win, it is best to evenly distribute roles. If your team is more successful in those tasks than the Runescape opposing team, victory is inevitable.

Use your barricades wisely. It is advised to set barricades on bridges leading to the Runescape Obelisk and on the Runescape path leading to your team's Avatar.

To prevent from having to run back and forth between the Runescape gathering Soul fragments and the Runescape Obelisk, some people offer to act as a runner. Players give this person, who will run to the Runescape obelisk, all their fragments. Keep in mind, that this job is only suited for high leveled players.

Below you will find a list of equipment that we suggest to take into the Runescape game.

Mechscape or Runescape? A comparison

Here's a comparison between the two games called Runescape and the new MMORPG from Jagex called Mechscape.

Mechscape vs. Runescape
Start fight. Ok, Mechscape wins.
Why? Because we have no idea what Mechscape is about! Or do we? Yes we do! And you can find out, all you have to do is check out the what we know about Mechscape page.

Mechsacpe is great for the whole family but geared towards older people. I think I'm old enough at age 14. That is already half way through teens.

Jagex Appoints Mark Gerhard as Chief Executive Officer

UK, Cambridge, 30th January, 2009 – Jagex today announced the appointment of Mark Gerhard as the new Chief Executive Officer following the resignation of Geoff Iddison earlier this month. Mark Gerhard, who currently serves as the Chief Technical Officer at Jagex, has been appointed to lead the company from 1st February.

“I have enjoyed working for Jagex immensely,” said Geoff Iddison. “The business remains at the cutting edge of the video games industry and its continued growth reflects the strong business model and the high calibre of people within the company. It was great to be part of a business which is shaping the industry in such a way.”

“On behalf of everyone at Jagex, I’d like to thank Geoff for everything he has brought to the business over the last 18 months, and wish him all the best with his future endeavours,” said Andrew Gower, Jagex Founder. “We have an exciting year planned for 2009 and are confident of continued success with Mark as our new CEO. Mark has performed exceptionally well since joining the company last year and I am sure that Jagex will continue to flourish under his leadership.”

Mark joined Jagex in February 2008 from GTECH where he served as the Principle Security Architect for the National Lottery. He has held numerous executive positions and has over 14 years experience working in the technology sector. “Having the opportunity to build on Jagex's phenomenal success is a great privilege and I'm honored by the boards’ endorsement,” said Mark Gerhard. “I fully intend to build value for Jagex, our players and our great staff.”

Basics

Treasure trails are one of things in RuneScape that will give you hours of fun. You don't have the Runescape slightest idea what kind of treasure you'll get, or when you'll get it. If you like adventures, be sure to do some treasure trails. Treasure trails are members only, but some of the Runescape rewards can be used by both F2P'ers and P2P'ers.

To begin a treasure trail, you'll need a clue scroll. Clue scrolls are dropped by certain kinds of monsters when you kill them. Below is a list of the Runescape monsters that drop clue scrolls. They are divided into three categories. Refer to the Runescape reward section below for more information about the Runescape different categories. the Runescape higher the Runescape category, the Runescape better the Runescape potential reward if you complete the Runescape trail.

Jagex has so many monsters that drop the Runescape three different level clues that it would be unwise to list them all here. Instead there are links below (to the Runescape bestiary) for you to click so you can see what monsters drop the Runescape level clue scroll you want.
Clue Dropping Monsters
Any level clue
Level 1 clue scroll
Level 2 clue scroll
Level 3 clue scroll

There are also a couple of other ways you can get clue scrolls. These ways can sometimes be more fun, because when you DO get a clue scroll, it's always a nice surprise. Pickpocketing H.A.M. Members will often get you a level 1 clue, and if you're brave enough to venture into the Runescape Zogre Cavern West of Gu'Tanoth, it's possible to get a key from one of the Runescape monsters that inhabit these dim caves. Use the Runescape key on the Runescape coffins in the Runescape area, and maybe, you just might find....a clue scroll! If you're not up to the Runescape task of killing the Runescape nearby monsters, try thieving the Runescape coffins instead. You can occasionally find level 1 clues this way as well.

You can also get clue scrolls from Shade Chests. the Runescape kind of chest will determine which level clue scroll you can get, but in general, the Runescape higher the Runescape shade, the Runescape higher the Runescape clue level. For example, you may get a level 1 clue scroll from a chest requiring a brown key. But, if you have a silver key, you may end up getting a level 3 clue scroll. Here's a list of shade chests and the Runescape level of clue scroll you can get from each:

* Bronze chests - level 1
* Steel chests - level 1 and level 2
* Black chests - level 2
* Silver chests - level 3

Refer to our Splitbark Armour Guide for more information on burning shades, getting keys and accessing shade chests.

Rewards

the Runescape rewards from Treasure Trails can give you a wide assortment of items, including both commonly available items and more valuable items which are exclusively obtainable from Treasure Trails (or purchasing from players who have completed Treasure Trails).

There are far too many of these rewards to put them all here, so take a look at our Rewards Page for a complete list of the Runescape items you can earn by completing Treasure Trails.

Anagrams

An anagram is a word where the Runescape letters of the Runescape original word are rearranged to make a new word. If you get an anagram clue, it will usually say that it's an anagram right on the Runescape clue. If it doesn't say that it's an anagram or that you need to unscramble the Runescape letters, if the Runescape words on the Runescape clue just don't make any sense, you can be pretty sure that the Runescape clue is, in fact, an anagram. Here is a list of all challenge scroll questions currently in the Runescape game:

If you have not done the Runescape quest, the Runescape answer is 40 - the Runescape ferret does not appear in the Runescape zoo until you have completed the Runescape quest.

Coordinates

When you get a coordinates clue, it will say something like "04 degrees, 13 minutes North, 12 degrees, 45 minutes East". When you have a coordinates clue, you will need to get some navigation tools. These include a sextant, a watch and a navigation chart. Even if you know exactly where to dig, you still need to have the Runescape navigation tools in your inventory when you dig on a coordinates clue. If you don't, you can dig all day, and you'll never find anything. To get the Runescape navigation tools, take your clue and head to the Runescape house North of the Runescape Observatory. You'll find the Runescape Observatory north of Castle Wars (Southwest of Ardougne; it's on the Runescape other side of the Runescape river West of the Runescape Tree Gnome Maze). While you're making the Runescape trip there, be sure to "examine" your clue (right-click on the Runescape scroll and select "examine"). When you arrive at the Runescape house, you'll find a Professor and his assistant. Talk to the Runescape Professor, and ask him to help you with treasure trails. He will tell you to get a watch and a sextant.

* To get the Runescape watch go to the Runescape Clocktower (located South of Ardougne). Speak with brother Kojo and ask him for the Runescape watch.
* To get the Runescape sextant go to the Runescape Khazard Docks (located Northeast of Yanille). Speak with Murphy and ask him for the Runescape sextant.

When you have your watch and sextant, go back to the Runescape Professor and speak with him again. He will give you a long lesson on how to use the Runescape sextant. He will also give you a chart. If you didn't read his speech or didn't understand it, see below for instructions on how to use the Runescape sextant.

You cannot make your own watch and/or sextant if you've never had them before. But if you lose your watch and/or sextant and need replacements, you can make new ones yourself if you have level 28 crafting and you have access to a player-owned home with a workshop. To get a replacement chart, you must go back and visit the Runescape Professor again.

How to use the Runescape sextant to get locations:
Now click Get location

Ok, when you have the Runescape sextant, click on it to 'look through' and get your location. However! Before it's able to tell you your position, you will need to click on the Runescape up and down arrows until you have the Runescape horizon in the Runescape middle of the Runescape eye piece. After that, use your right and left arrows to get the Runescape sun in the Runescape centre of the Runescape eye piece as well. When you have this, and your eye piece looks like the Runescape one to the Runescape right, click "Get location" under the Runescape sextant image (above your chat box).

How to use your location:

Now you know how to get your current location, but you still need to learn how to get to your desired location (the Runescape one on the Runescape clue scroll). First you want to find the Runescape right longitude (east-west). If your clue says something like 12 degrees, 56 minutes east, and you're at 6 degrees 12 minutes east, then you simply walk East until you hit 12 degrees. Once you do that, you can try to hit the Runescape minutes by going a little more East. Then you try to find the Runescape right latitude (South-North). Go North/South until you hit the Runescape right place. This can be tricky, and the Runescape first 5 times you'll have to think and try a lot to get it right.

To help you with finding the Runescape right location, you can use our handy dandy Treasure Locator Tool. Open it by clicking here. This is a pop-up, so it might not open if you have a pop-up blocker active. This locator is not 100% accurate, but it's pretty close, and it *should* give you an idea of where to go with your sextant for the Runescape right location. We have also compiled a list of known coordinates in text format, if you feel more comfortable using that. But remember! You must have your navigation tools with you when you dig. We have made the Runescape treasure locator and the Runescape list of coordinates available to you to make it easier for you to find the Runescape location of your coordinates -- but that doesn't mean that you can forget about getting the Runescape sextant, watch and chart. You can't. And these navigation tools are not tradeable, so you don't have any choice about getting them.

When you're at the Runescape right location, and you've double checked it, dig with a spade on the Runescape spot. If there's already something there, pick it up and dig.

One word of caution:

If you have a level 3 coordinates clue that leads to a spot in the Runescape wilderness, be prepared to fight a level 65 or 74 Zamorak Wizard. the Runescape wizard is very protective of any treasure that may be buried in the Runescape wilderness, and he won't let you get it without a fight. He will attack you with Flames of Zamorak, and your best defence is to use prayer and have Protect-from-Magic ON.

If your level 3 coordinates clue leads to a spot outside the Runescape wilderness, you'll have to fight and kill a level 108 Saradomin Wizard to get the Runescape casket containing your treasure/next clue. We have heard that for some coordinates clues outside the Runescape wilderness, you may get a Zamorak Wizard instead of a Saradomin Wizard. If this happens to you, count your blessings. If you DO get a Saradomin Wizard, he will attack you with a poisoned dagger if you use prayer and have Protect-from-Magic ON. If you have Protect-from-Melee ON, he will attack you with magic. the Runescape best way to defend yourself against this very strong wizard is to wear full dragonhide and attack him with Protect-from-Melee ON.

Once you've killed your wizard, dig again in the Runescape same spot to get the Runescape casket containing your treasure/next clue. If you're not sure which level clue you have, think of the Runescape monster that dropped the Runescape first clue scroll in your treasure trail, then refer to the Runescape Basics section and the Runescape monster table.

Important things to remember:

* When you have a coordinates clue to solve, you must have the Runescape sextant, watch, chart and clue in your inventory to dig up the Runescape casket containing your treasure/next clue. And don't forget to bring your spade with you! You can't dig anything up with your hands!
* If you lose or misplace your sextant, watch or chart, simply go back to the Runescape NPC that gave it to you in the Runescape first place to get another. For the Runescape sextant, see Murphy. For the Runescape watch, see Brother Kojo. For the Runescape chart, go see the Runescape Professor. And remember, you will need a coordinates clue in your inventory to get another chart from the Runescape Professor. It doesn't matter that you're only getting a replacement chart. You need to actually have a coordinates clue with you to get a new one. Murphy and Brother Kojo aren't so picky -- you don't need to have a coordinates clue with you to get a replacement sextant or watch.

You can also make a replacement sextant and/or watch yourself if you have level 28 crafting and have access to a player-owned house with a workshop. You cannot make a replacement chart if you lose it. To get a replacement chart, you must go back and visit the Runescape Professor again.
* With certain clues, you might be asked to go to an area that is only accessible if you have completed or started a certain quest. This is particularly true for level 3 clues, but it can also happen for other level clues. For example, you may get a clue that leads you to the Runescape Kharazi Jungle, South of Shilo Village. To enter the Runescape jungle, you will need to at least start the Runescape Legends Quest. If your clue leads to the Runescape Canifis area in Morytania, you will need to have completed Priest in Peril and, depending on WHERE in Morytania the Runescape coordinates lead, you may also have to start Nature Spirit. There are other clues like this, so be aware that this CAN happen. In our Full List of Coordinates page, we have included the Runescape name of the Runescape quest next to the Runescape coordinates' location if a quest is required to access the Runescape location.
* If you're heading into the Runescape wilderness on a coordinates clue, bring only the Runescape basic necessities with you. This means bring only your clue, sextant, watch, and chart, your weapon, and whatever food you need to survive an attack. If you get attacked by a monster or revenant or cannot survive the Runescape attack from the Runescape Zamorak wizard, drop everything except your clue scroll before you die. You can easily replace the Runescape lost items, but you will lose your clue scroll if you hang onto these other things. Of course, this only works if you do not have a skull hanging over your head...

Uri's Emote Clues

Some clue scrolls will contain specific orders of where and how to perform an emote. Upon successful completion, a mysterious man named Uri will reward you with a chest as well as a humorous quip.

It is very important that you follow Uri's emote instructions specifically. When doing the Runescape clue, you must wear exactly what the Runescape clue says. This means that you must acknowledge the Runescape difference between enchanted/unenchanted jewelry, a staff/battlestaff, and likewise.

Also, some clues say, "Beware of double agents!" In these clues you will be attacked by a Double Agent (level 108 non-wild, 68 in-Wilderness) when you properly perform the Runescape emote. You can change into armour or weapons when fighting the Runescape Double Agent, but you must change back into the Runescape proper attire before doing the Runescape emote again to talk to Uri (in the Runescape wilderness you do not have to repeat the Runescape emote for Uri to appear).

Sometimes you might get a clue scroll, and when you open it to read it, all you see is a map. Your task is to find out where that place is, and then, like the Runescape pirates always do, take the Runescape steps shown on your map and dig where X marks the Runescape spot. To dig, you'll need your trusty spade. Here's a list of the Runescape different maps:

Riddles

Riddles are primarily to test your Runescape knowledge. If you remember most of the Runescape details you learned through quests and other information, you shouldn't have a problem with these. However, since there are usually one or two things that might have slipped your mind, here's a list of the Runescape current riddles. They are in alphabetical order after the Runescape first letter in the Runescape riddle (example: "My name is..." is under M).

**Note: When you go to some locations with chests or drawers, you may find that the Runescape chest/drawers is/are locked. If this happens, you will get a message giving you a hint about what to do next. the Runescape message might say "Beware of dog" or "It's a guard's life" or something similar when you try to open the Runescape chest/drawers. If you get a message like this, just look for it in the Runescape list that follows. Remember to have your clue scroll with you or else you will not get the Runescape key the Runescape monster drops.

FAQ

1.

I'm on the Runescape right locations, but I can't find anything! How come?
If it's a coordinates clue, make sure you have the Runescape sextant, chart, watch and clue in your inventory, or else you will not find anything when digging. Keeping these items in the Runescape bank doesn't work. If you never received a sextant, watch and chart, go see the Runescape Professor in the Runescape house North of the Runescape Observatory. Refer to the Runescape Coordinates section at the Runescape beginning of this guide for more information.

If it's a normal clue, make sure you have your clue with you.
2.

I've been killing this monster for ages, and I STILL haven't gotten a clue! Why?
First, check your inventory and bank. You will not get a clue scroll if you already have one in your bank/inventory, no matter how many monsters you kill.

Also, make sure the Runescape monster you're killing actually drops clues. Check the Runescape Bestiary or the Runescape Basics section at the Runescape beginning of this guide for a list of monsters that drop clues. Otherwise, you'll just have to be patient! Clue drops are purely random; you may get 3 in one day by killing the Runescape same monster, or you may not get any for 3 weeks!
3.

If I drop my clue because it's too hard or I can't figure it out, can I get another one?
Yes. Dropping your clue does not prevent you from getting more clue scrolls. It's like you never had it in the Runescape first place.
4.

What treasure trails rewards are F2P?
All the Runescape trimmed and god armour is F2P. Non-members can buy these items from members and wear them like any other armour. the Runescape other special items that come from treasure trails (boots, hats, headbands etc.) are P2P only.
5.

Can I have more than one clue at a time?
No you can't. You cannot pick up another clue before you've either dropped or completed your current one. Monsters will not drop clues if you have one in your bank already.
6.

Does the Runescape ring of wealth help with clues?
We have confirmed this with Jagex, and the Runescape Ring of Wealth does not make the Runescape drop rate of clues from monsters any higher, and it does not help you on the Runescape reward you receive when doing a Treasure Trail. the Runescape Ring of Wealth only increases the Runescape chances you'll get a better/rarer drop from the Runescape monsters you're killing.
7.

Can clue scrolls or the Runescape sextant, watch and chart be traded?
No.
8.

Do I keep my clue scroll if I die?
No, unless your clue scroll happens to be one of the Runescape three most valuable items in your inventory when you die.
9.

What do I do if I lose my sextant, watch or chart?
If you lose your sextant, go back and ask Murphy in Port Khazard for another one. If you lose your watch, go speak to Brother Kojo at the Runescape Clocktower, and if you need another chart, go speak to the Runescape Professor in the Runescape house North of the Runescape Observatory. Make sure you have a coordinates clue in your inventory before trying to get a replacement chart, though. Otherwise, the Runescape Professor will NOT give you a replacement. You don't need to have a coordinates clue to get a replacement sextant or watch.

If you have level 28 crafting and you have access to a player-owned home with a workshop, you can also make a new watch and sextant yourself. You cannot make a replacement chart. To get a new chart, you'll have to go back and visit the Runescape Professor again.
10.

If I see someone drop a clue scroll, can I pick it up?
No. Clue scrolls are not tradeable, nor can they be picked up from the Runescape ground if someone dies or drops it. Only the Runescape person that received the Runescape scroll in the Runescape first place can solve the Runescape treasure trail the Runescape scroll belongs to.

Do I have to do the Runescape Observatory Quest to get the Runescape sextant, watch and chart?
No. Formerly, if you started the Runescape quest and never finished it, the Runescape Professor wouldn't talk to you about treasure trails until you completed the Runescape quest. This has been fixed - he now asks if you want to talk about the Runescape quest or Treasure Trails. Also, you do not have to do the Runescape Clocktower Quest before getting your watch from Brother Kojo.

I've tried speaking to the Runescape Professor over and over again about getting Treasure Trail help and the Runescape sextant, watch and chart, but all he talks about is his broken telescope and his planks. What's going on?
First, you must have a coordinates clue with you when you first speak to the Runescape Professor. If you don't, he won't talk about treasure trails at all. If you have the Runescape coordinates clue with you, try examining the Runescape clue before you speak to him. If this doesn't work, then you may have started the Runescape Observatory quest at some time and not finished it. You should therefore finish the Runescape quest, then talk to the Runescape Professor again. Remember - if you choose the Runescape wrong option when you speak to him, that is, if you click on anything other than the Runescape Treasure Trails option, you end up starting the Runescape Observatory quest if you haven't started it yet.

Why won't Murphy and Brother Kojo give me the Runescape items I need?
You must speak to the Runescape Professor in the Runescape house North of the Runescape Observatory BEFORE asking Murphy for the Runescape sextant and Brother Kojo for the Runescape watch. If you didn't get sent to Murphy and Kojo by the Runescape Professor, they won't help you. Also, make sure you have your coordinates clue in your inventory when you speak with them. If you've already spoken to the Runescape Professor, AND you have your clue with you and Brother Kojo STILL won't help you, refer to FAQ 9. above.

I know that members get trimmed armour from Treasure Trails, but I'm a non-member, and someone offered to trim my armour. How can I trim my armour myself?
You can't trim armour. Members can't trim armour. Nobody can trim armour. There is no such skill as armour trimming. Trimmed armour, whether plain or gold, can only be obtained by completing a Treasure Trail or by burning Vyrewatch remains. You can, however, purchase trimmed armour from other players, even if you're not a member.

If anyone offers to trim your armour, or they tell you they're a member and armour trimming is a new member skill, don't believe it. It's a scam, and they will steal your armour. You should report the Runescape person by using the Runescape "Report Abuse" button at the Runescape bottom of your playing screen.
